Welcome and thanks for stopping by Freebird Photography! My name is Lauren Winner and I specialize in wedding and portrait photography. I am currently located in Bonney Lake, WA and cater to the greater Seattle area.  I will travel if you are located elsewhere, or have a special location in mind for your shoot.

I’ve been in the photography business for about 12 years. I love the opportunity of creating art for each client I work with. What truly draws me to photography is the idea that I can make an art piece for anyone that they will cherish forever.

I am originally from a small town in central California and I will always be a small town girl at heart. I hold a BA in Sociology from UCLA. My husband and I are kept very busy raising our two toddlers. I love wine tasting and exploring new restaurants in my spare time! I’ve worked as a studio photographer for many years. I've done all types of sessions including children, maternity, pets, modeling head shots, specialty events, and even school picture days. I enjoy a challenge and love that my work allows me to be creative. 

I specialize in family, couples and wedding photography. Everything is shot digitally, so after your photo shoot, you will receive your edited images via download from my website.  From there you can do anything you want with your photos.  Upload them to Facebook or Instagram, print them, or create wall art for yourself. You own your images. I shoot with the very best Canon professional gear.

I think of myself as an active coach when it comes to your photography session. I find it very helpful to give my clients direction, so that they know what to do.  I always make sure to take some traditionally posed photos, but most of the session will be spent in action and focused on organic movements.  These "coached movements" result in natural, fun photos that feel genuine.

When it comes to location, we can shoot at your favorite location, or at one I suggest.  I encourage you to make an outfit change during your shoot to provide variety in your photos.  It's my goal to work with your tastes and personality to produce a quality product that you will cherish forever.
